Not if you want it done the proper way. If you go to a place where they use a piercing gun then they might if you have your parent/guardian with you. But you shouldn't go to a place that uses a piercing gun because piercing gunsa are dangerous and the piercings more likely to get infected. If you go to a proper piercing place like at a tattoo shop then no, you can't because you must be at least 16 with a guardian/parent. if your 18+ you dont need any parent or guardian with you

You dont need to. I'm 15 and I've had my cartilage pierced for about a year and a half. You just need parental consent.

If you can abstain for about a month you can switch the jewelry out to an easier to wear piece and then play. Another alternative is to have your cartilage dermal punched and a steel eyelet inserted and then in a month switch to a Kaos Softwear V.2.0 eyelet. Kaos eyelets are extremely comfortable and will squish with your ear instead of maintaining shape. Also, if you expect to have a lot of undo irritation then way until you are done with the sport for at least a year and then you should be able to remove the piercing for the event and put it in after the event.

Cartliage take over a year to heal. When I got mine done it took about a year and a half to heal. This is because your cartilage doesn't produce it's own blood. So when you get it pierced it has to wait to get blood and oxygen from the rest of the body. So this of course is why it takes such a long time to heal

just got my nose re-pierced yesterday, and i've had my cartilage done for about a year now. For me, the pain level is about the same. The piercing itself didn't actually hurt much at all for either, its just sore for a while after you get it done. I think my cartilage was worse, but not by that much. I don't think either piercing is that painful, but they do really look good. I just have a regular one hole cartilage piercing, but I hope I could help a little. :)
