If you mean the slight deviations, as opposed to intentional curved walls, then no,The angle of true crown,45deg, dosent allow much flex. One could try to scribe it to wall, but there usually not to much that can be done before profile is changed & becomes noticeable. The best thing you can do is get caulking that matches the wall color & fill the gap. This is a bit of an art to do it well. Paint stores can many times do the match. You can also buy a tool (got mine @ Dalys, made by red devil) that with a small amount of paint , makes a matching colored caulk. this is real handy. Red devil makes the caulk as well, but it has a bit of a shine. Form what I,ve been told, using Polyseamseal clear will have less shine. This approach can be used on a lot of places were gaps in millwork & drwall exist.
Yes. you can paint crown moldings with any sheen that you like. Semi gloss and gloss are the more popular sheens used on crown moldings.
yes
They are called crown moulding.
The most common profiles of baseboard moldings are basic shapes trimmed from the end. The most common molds are crown, casing, chair rail and baseboard.
Most commonly moldings of all kinds (baseboard, casing, crown, picture, chair railing etc.) are painted in a harder finish (aka a higher gloss) paint. If you are after a "traditional" look, then use white or cream gloss paint, unless your crown is of a stain-grade wood and you have stained it. (I which case a gloss urethane works well as a top coat)Crown moldings in a kitchen, bathroom or on furniture (or cabinetry) it moist environments or where they will be touched regularly, should be painted in the highest gloss you can stand. In a bedroom, hallway, living room, dining room, study, library or den, a slightly lower gloss level (semi-gloss, pearl, or even satin) give a slightly "richer" look. These areas can also stand your crown moldings being painted a colour (other than white or cream). In whichs case, do not paint the moldings to "match" the wall colour, it would be a shame to go to the effort of installing crown molding and then paint it to minimize its existence.Note: Do remember, the higher the gloss the more reflection, and the more any flaws in the work will show.
The ornamental molding along the top of a wall is called a "crown molding." It is typically used to add aesthetic appeal and transition between the wall and the ceiling. Crown moldings can vary in style, size, and material, enhancing the overall design of a room.

should wood decks be installed crown down
You can use either water or oil based paint, which are both available in a variety of sheens to paint molding. Water based satin coatings are very popular for crown molding in 2012 and have been for several years, while an oil based semi-gloss are the best choice for baseboards and door moldings where available.
