The answer to this question is quite simple. First of all, everyone has the right to study and worship whatever or whoever they want. Secondly, we civilians cannot tell the government what they should worship or what their perception of life should be. With that said, why should we as individuals allow the government to get involve with our religions, knowing that we cannot tell them what to do. Finally, one must ask them self these two important questions: are my actions towards life initiated from my own will or is it determined by someone else?_________________________________________________________________

Religion IZ Government; Government = Politics = Religion; They are all synonymous and there is very little separation really - a thin curtain at best. The only separation that actually IZ real would be the separation those ignorant to the origins of Religion believe there to be. Religion, just like Civics should be a course of study mandatory in the educational process (not to be confused with prayer.)...

Should one wipe their ass and wash their hands after leaving a shat? Well, this would be up to that individual, but all logical conclusions suggest it would not only be best for the health of that individual, it would make life a bit more pleasant and tolerable for those in direct contact. If we force the individual to clean himself we are enforcing our beliefs on him. If we suggest it to him, he then has an option. But if he is going to be returning to work and proceed to make a meal for someone in a public place, yes!; sometimes the government should become involved and mandate certain behaviors for the safety of all.

It IZ best to note and/or point out to you that when I read this question, in the way you have asked it, I find there is so little understandable reasoning surrounding why you would even ask, that I need to wonder the depth of your reasoning. I feel a bias or dislike toward Mormons and religion, yet no concrete reason why.

It is very dangerous to attempt to change the laws regarding our fundamental personal freedoms (especially when it is one persons opinion to do so). Our forefathers where very intelligent men who went to great lengths in their plight to create a land free from bigotry, open to difference, yet put protections in place for all. The worst thing of all; the highest crime in society today, is not to realize that once one of these 'Constitutional Rights' has been altered, we can never really go backward. Confucius says: "Proceed with Caution. . ."

Why isn't the government entirely free of religion?

AnswerNo government is ever entirely free from religion, if only because many of the people who form the government are themselves religious, or because they need the votes of those constitutients who hold strong religious beliefs. Nor is it necessarily a bad thing for governments to be influenced by religion, since the moral guidelines some politicians rely on are those they learnt as part of their religious education. Religious involvement in government does become an issue when politicians make decisions based on religious doctrine, rather than just religious ethics or morals.
