they can if you want it to but it doesn't need 1. if you do have 1 then it will most likely fertilize the hens eggs. i have 8 hens and no roosters! hope this helps from i-luv-my-chickens

roster
Le coq sportif has a roster or hen on their logo. Its a sportswear company
Not even a minute!
After twenty-one days after the hen has laid the egg that the roster has fertilized the egg will hatch.
Hen. A rooster is a chicken of the male gender, so the opposite (in gender) is the female, or hen.
i have 8 chickens there comb has not come out yet i have 3 chickens with long tails which ones is a roster or hen.
Yes. reproduction is still carried out the old fashioned way, the mating of a hen with a rooster. Without the roosters involvement, the hen will still lay eggs but they will not be fertile.
Roosters have larger tail feathers and are usually a bit more colourful than hens.
if roster is fully grown $70.50 if roster is a chick $80.80 baby rosters cost more because they will live longer
Don't that's evil
Yes. If there isn't a roster in the flock already then it isn't rare for a hen to turn into a rooster. They even cock-a-doole-do. I have had two hens turn into roosters because the rooster got eaten by a fox... lol
