I've seen guys do it years ago on purpose for riding pools. I never Really understood it. You can use different brand trucks as long as they are the same width. I, personally wouldn't mix sizes because it can throw off your lines, I mean if one truck sticks out more than the other you can get hung up on something and you'd have to bail. How would you rethread a pair of skateboard trucks?
Firstly, obviously you would need a threading "die" and a die handle the type of thread a skateboard axel is im not sure maybe metric/imperial to find the correct die you would have to use a thread guage first. In order to get a good cut you need to have it on square and use some cutting compound. VOODOO 13: I use the REFLEX UTILITOOL skateboard multitool it has a built-in thread die to rethread your trucks.

They are like risers on a skateboard. I find them great to use, the point of it is you can put them under your trucks so that they are more flexible.
