To boil it, better slit a small hole in the bottom of the egg. Then put it in the water.
Egg goes from liquid to solid. Water becomes steam, pan becomes hot. Cooking = chemical change.
An aluminum pan needs to be preheated to around 300-350°F (150-175°C) before frying an egg. You can test if the pan is ready by sprinkling a few drops of water on it – they should evaporate quickly. Be sure to use a little oil or butter before cracking the egg into the pan.
You must have a pan full of boiling water, a stove and an egg to poach an egg

When you cook an egg in a frying pan, you are primarily using conduction heat. This occurs as the heat from the stovetop is transferred directly to the frying pan and then to the egg, cooking it. Additionally, if you are using a gas stove, there may also be some convection heat involved as the hot air surrounds the pan.
Hello, you can either poach an egg in a frying pan or a sauce pan. You half fill the pan with water and bring it to the boil. Crack the egg into the boiling water and cook to your liking. Hope i helped you.

Do you mean "Boil" an egg? I've found the best way to boil an egg is the following: 1. Place the egg in a small pot or sauce pan. 2. Pour water - just enough to cover the egg completely (more will just take longer to heat). 3. Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium high. 4. When the water begins to boil fully, remove the pan from the stove and let the egg sit in the hot water for three minutes. 5. Run cold water over the eggs until cool to the touch and remove the shell.
I suppose so, but don't start substituting water for eggs in everything. Water and flaxseed is one thing, but just water... not.
If someone wants to cook a hardboiled egg then they need the water at a decent rolling boil. Then put in the egg and turn the water down to a simmer. Then leave the egg in for four to six minutes. When it is taken out and the shell removed it will be hard boiled.
hardboil the egg in a pan of water. carefully take out with a spoon, place on table, then headbutt the egg with your nose
place water in bottom pan about 1/2 full and bring to a boil on high heat. Spray egg dishes in upper pan with spray margarine or place one teaspoon of water in each egg dish, if you are avoiding oils. Place egg dish part of pan on water pan, and place the lid on securely. Lower heat on water to simmer, and allow eggs to cook about 2 minutes, or longer, or less, depending on your preference. Remove the eggs with the assistance of a rubber spatula. Take care not to burn your fingers handling the hot areas of the pan, and avoid the steam while escaping as it is very hot.
