On the issue of our origins, you should believe in the Theory of Evolution -there is too much provable evidence for evolution to be any longer in dispute, and even the major Christian denominations are coming to accept the truth of evolution. On matters of faith, it is up to you whether you believe The Bible.

Perhaps it would help to know that Stephen Jay Gould proposed the concept of Nonoverlapping Magisteria (NOMA). He said that the domain or magisterium for science is the empirical realm - what the universe is made from and why it works the way it does. He said that the magisterium of religion includes the ultimate meaning and moral values. These magisteria are nonoverlapping - science does not comment on the ultimate meaning of life, while religion should not comment on the natural world. If accepted, this concept takes questions about creation and evolution out of the religious magisterium.

God did not make evolution. Evolution is the belief that the world came about from a big bang or an explosion. The Bible clearly teaches that this world came about as a direct result in God creating it.

Do you have to reject evolution to be a Christian?

I am not a Christian myself, but I don't think so. It is my understanding that some Christian groups (denominations) reject evolution, others not. While evolution is not supported in the Bible, it is more a matter of belief as it is not considered a sin to believe in evolution.Another Answer:IMO, yes you must as evolution teaches that God did not Create all as His Word the Bible tells us He did. Is God a liar? I don't think so. Is there any truth in evolution - perhaps on a micro-level but definitely no proofs on the macro-level even after all these years. Creation requires a Creator and Laws like 'biogenises, thermodynamics' cannot be said to be wrong and evolution only right. Laws require a lawgiver.No. Quite a few Christians believe in evolution. Though the Bible says God created the world, it is what we should believe and as Christians many of us do. But some find it difficult to accept this. It does not mean you are not a Christian. Also, many Christians believe in Macro-evolution. Which is like when tadpoles evolve into frogs.

Why don't Americans believe in evolution?

That is somewhat of an over-generalization, because many Americans do believe in Darwin's theory of evolution, but there are certainly a great many who don't. Evotution is seen by some people as competing with the bible. The bible says that God created life (apparently by magic) and evolution describes a different way that life could have come into existence without requiring divine intervention. Fundamentalist Americans prefer the bible to science.

What do creationists believe on the origin of humans?

Creationists believe that humans were created by a supernatural being, typically a deity such as God, as described in religious texts like the Bible. They reject the scientific theory of evolution and instead adhere to the belief that humans were directly created in their present form.

Who was the first Pearson on the panet?

i do not know that is a good question Who was the first person on the planet? I suppose this is what you mean. If you believe the Bible - it was Adam. If you believe in evolution, all bets are off.

What is evolution and the Christian type of evolution?

Everything has to do with God for them, so everything the Bible says goes, even though it's totally ridiculous.Another viewFor Christians who believe in evolution, it was God who started the process. They believe pretty much what other evolutionists believe, but they don't see creation and evolution as incompatible or opposites. They may compromise some of the things in the Bible to fit their view. For instance, they would take the 6 days of creation as a metaphor for 6 million years rather than 6 literal days. They believe that it was God who sparked the Big Bang and set up the process of evolution as the means of creating the universe.
