Mouse traps are not safe for cats to be around because they can cause harm or injury to the cat if triggered. It is important to keep cats away from mouse traps to prevent accidents.
If you have a mouse that is properly housed in a cage or aquarium, it should be safe to keep as a pet. The considerations you should look at before keeping a mouse as a pet are the following:Mice are escape artists. They can get out of bars as small as the width of their eyes. Care should be taken that they do not escape. If you keep males and females together, you will quickly have more mice than you can keep up with. The bedding should be replaced frequently as there are high levels of ammonia in the bedding.Mice can bite.
To effectively keep cats away from mouse traps, place the traps in areas that are inaccessible to cats, such as behind furniture or in enclosed spaces. Additionally, consider using cat deterrents like citrus scents or motion-activated devices to discourage cats from approaching the traps.
It is safe as long as you keep it where it cant get away. also, you should watch it to make sure that hawks, cats, dogs and owls can't get to it.

cat and mice relationships are like battle tanks with wars they keep fighting. in the wild cats use to farm mice for food they are not always friends. if you wanted to test it. some other cats will come eat the mice still always keep mice away from cats. feral/other cats will come eat the mice.
Well in My Situation, I am thinking on the same thing. but we have cats so it will only happen when i grow up, Rats are much bigger and clever, and require more space. Mice Require Space to play to, and Are Clever, There are smaller therefore more Delicate.I would Probably Get Each, a Rat cage and a mouse cage. But if you can only afford one i would get the Mouse, They Require less food and less space, i find they are more Affectionnate and Delicate, they look to you to keep them away from Monsters (Cats), Your like there hero.Thats just my opinion, get both if you can, A mouse if you can only get one. but its your choice ofcourse!Hope i helped!
Red pepper should not harm plants in your garden if you sprinkle it around the plants to keep the cats and dogs away. However I would keep it away from the leaves and petals.
It is because they were made like that, there niche is most likely to keep the rat and mouse population leveled at day and night.
