Their might be some good deals out there but ALWAYS get body pierings at your docter. He knows best. And NEVER do the ice cube ans needle thing. It could ger infected. The sooner tthe piering the better. A store like Claire's is cheap and only wants your money. our better off at a parlor then claires. (I can guarentee that)

---Actually, doctors aren't trained to do piercings so they aren't better than going to a reputable parlor. You should definitely consult them about infections or injuries with piercings but not for them to actually pierce your ear.

If the piercing was done with a piercing gun then that should answer the question.

Should you get a scaffold piercing or just a cartilage piercing?

Does the septum get pierced through the cartilage?

No it doesn't get pierced through the cartilage. I actually had a woman come in with a septum piercing that was done by a so called "body mods artist", the piercing was done through the cartilage and was causing all sorts of issues for the lady. Piercing the cartilage is actually dangerous in that area and more subject to possible infection. The actual piercing is between the exteriour meatus and the physical cartilage, the web between these structures is only the thickness of a dime, this is the area the piercing should be placed. Any other location and the piercing is done incorrectly. Do your research and be sure your piercing is done by an actual "professional body piercer" working in a licensed and inspected facility (not a kitchen on a Saturday night).

Should you get your ears pierced at Claires?

I would suggest leaving the piercing to actual professional body piercers who have licenses and inspection reports to attest to there professional abilities, the life of the piercing gun in the hands of an untrained unqualified individual are over. Be smart with your piercings and your health and see an actual Professional Body Piercer. I disagree because i got my ears pierced at claires and my holes came out fine.... i guess its up to u but all you hav 2 do at claires is pay for the earrings and they pierce your ears for free so its up to u

Why is there dead skin around your newly pierced cartilage?

Is it dead skin or dried discharge, if you have questions about how your piercing is healing you should go back and see your piercer for assistance.

I am going to get my ears pierced and I can't go to a tattoo parlor so i was Wondering if Claires is a good place. If not where is?

yes, but only if they use needles. The Claire's I go to does. If they use guns, then you should go to a doctor or piercing shop. No matter where you get them pierced always clean and twist them.

Should I get my cartilage pierced if I am an athlete?

You can get the cartilage pierced regardless of your being an athlete or not. It is your choice. I personally do not understand why people pierce themselves.

Where should you go to get your cartilage pierced?

It is much safer to get a cartilage piercing with a needle. A piercing gun can cause scaring and lumps once the piercing has healed. These things are much less common if the piercing was done with a needle.

How much is it to get your cartilage pierced at Claires?

You should NOT get your cartilage pierced at any other place aside from a tattoo parlor. No piercings should be done without a hollow needle as a regular needle will push the skin and cartilage that is being pierced to the back of your ear causing infection, swelling, and an all out gross looking ear. I highly suggest that you go to a tattoo parlor and get it done professionally. It will cost anywhere from10-40 dollars depending on where you go and if you have an earring to go in it. The earring should be steel as it is hypoallergenic. Sources: I'm a piercer and I have a lot of experience and I have many piercings including my cartilage. Hope this helps. --------------------------------------------------- Improved answer: I dont understand why everyone says not to get it done at Claire's. I got my cartilage done at Claire's and it was PERFECTLY FINE. It was $33 for the earring, piercing, and ear cleaner fluid. My ear did NOT get infected and nothing bad happened at all. Personally tattoo parlors are pretty scary.... Everyone at Claire's are nice and friendly Sources: Got my cartilage pierced at Claire's

Does getting your cartilage pierced hurt more with a needle or a gun?

You should never pierce your cartilage with guns. It will damage your body tissue and you will find a lump growing outside the piercing after a while. Guns are only safe for piercing the soft fleshy parts of your earlobes. Nowhere else. Safest is to go to a pro-piercing artist, he/she should use proper hollowed and sterilised or brand new needles to pierce. It doesn't hurt at all if the piercing is done professionally.

Where is a good place to get my cartilage pierced in Oregon I want to get a Bar at the top of my ear and need to find a cheap place that uses needles Please help?

if oregon has a walmart or claires (which it should) you can get it done there, usually for free too. all you'd have to pay for is the earing. i got my cartilage done at a walmart, and the other ear peircings at claires. i recomend either of these stores if your looking for cheap but good quality ear peircings.

Can you get your rook re pierced after it was rejected?

It's not common for a properly done Rook piercing to reject. Due to this piercing being done in deep cartilage, the piercing should not reject (the cartilage won't let it reject). More often that not the problem is the method used to look after the piercing or the solutions used to heal the piercing (generally too much and not properly rinsed out). I would suggest you seek the expert advice of your local professional body piercer. They would need to see what you have going on with the piercing location. If there is enough tissue that isn't damaged they should be able to repierce the area.
