Is it 348, or 3.48mg? 3.48 is normal.... i don't think 348 is possible unless you have no blood just pure sugar in your arteries...
if it drops below 3.00 while in a 'normal daily eating habit' routine you should consult a doctor. also if 2 hours after food it is higher than 8.00 you should also consult your doctor.
_________I know what you mean by 348. Take a ketone test using urine analysis test strips, you can get them at places like Walgreen's or Walmart. If you have more than a trace amount of ketones, then go to the hospital, if not, just take insulin or drink lots of fluids to bring down your number.

∙ 11y agoGenerally, most people would not go the ER. They would give themselves the appropriate amount of insulin to bring their blood sugar back down into the "normal" range.
Also, I would call my physician and check in with him/her and get their opinion before going to a hospital.
