The only reason we have a land line is because our internet service is provided through the phone company. We live in a small town & we don't have any other options. I'd love to get rid of it. We cut off the long distance service on it & use our cells for that because it's free. I'm sure it would be a pain to go around & change our phone numbers with everyone. There would be someone we'd forget, & your point on all doctors, insurance companies, etc. would be an issue. But I'd gladly do it. We have Caller ID, too, but so do all cell phones.
