This is a complex subject. Since gun control consists of laws, are you speaking of laws against laws? Bottom line- there are more than 20,000 gun control laws in the US right now. Much of the information that bounces around is VERY incorrect (no, you cannot go to a gun show and buy a machine gun with no paperwork, etc)
The problems that we do have are- 1. Criminals do not obey laws. 2. The Federal govt does a poor job of ENFORCING laws we already have. 3. We keep attempting to regulate BEHAVIOR by regulating THINGS. If we have a problem with drunk drivers, we do NOT decree that there will be a 5 day waiting period to buy a new car, or limit gasoline tanks to 7 gallons, etc.
This DOES tend to be an emotional issue, where facts are sometimes left behind- and there WILL be people with different viewpoints.
NRA members vote against gun control laws.
Depends on WHICH gun control legislation you mean. In the US, there are already several thousand "gun control" laws on the books. However, they do not work. They DO keep honest people from being able to defend themselves from criminals.
opposing.Versus, contra, counter"I am against gun control" could also be phrased "I'm opposed to gun control", "I'm anti-gun control", "I'm an opponent of gun control", "I disagree with the idea of gun control"
barak obama is pushing for more vigurous gun control laws and background checks
A person against gun control. A pro-gun advocate. A pro-2A advocate (in the US).
It is extremely anti-gun control.
They have gun laws. Whether they actually have the words "gun control" within any of their firearms legislature, I don't know, but they do have gun control.

Yes. It is the belief that someone that would ignore laws against murder would obey a law about guns.
It's arguable that the current gun control laws in the US are stretching the constitution to the breaking point. Anything much stricter and it would be impossible to maintain the fiction that they're compatible with the 2nd amendment.
Against.
There are thousands of laws that relate to gun control, and cover every state. Those laws have been there for years.
