If you're a guy, the preferred look by girls is that you have shorter hair -- but not like a buzz, just let your hair grow to the nape of your neck, at least. No one likes a "shaggy dawg".
If you're a girl, then shoulder-length to waist-length hair is honestly better than a pixie - it's the look preferred by old ladies. But if you really want short hair, then you should at least get a bob.
