Another opinion: If you are in a location where other people are around, there is usually going to be very little danger in helping a person who is injured or in serious distress. If you are under age 18, you need to let an adult help the person, but if you are 18 or over, you can usually safely help such a person in public if others are there. If you don't help someone, and they die, what will you feel like? Even if you are not able to help them, at least call 911 or your local emergency number to get professional help if you see an injured person. One of the most shameful things about modern times is the tendency of people to just stand and watch a person get seriously injured, and not offer any help at all. Even if you are under 18, you can go get an adult to help, instead of just standing there watching.
