No.
You can jailbreak iOS 7.1.* using Pangu Jailbreak. (Do to the inability to add links and post links, just google Pangu Jailbreak and that should work.)
you use spirit. search spirit jailbreak on google and you should find it.
No as its illegal.
It is not required, but it is recommended. You should back up your iPod before a jailbreak nevertheless...
You should not jailbreak your iPod Touch. Jailbreaking comes with many risks involved in it. Among these risks is that of voiding your warranty, so if the jailbreak actually 'breaks' your iPod Touch, the warranty will not replace it for you for free.

As of now, there is only a "tethered" jailbreak for the 5th generation. Tethered jailbreaks can be a pain, since you have to reinstall the software after each and every restart. If you want to jailbreak your 5th generation, I'd recommend to wait until an untethered jailbreak is released.
To delete an Jailbreak you need to restore your device. It will wipe off all your data so you should first make a backup.
No, you should not jailbreak your iPod. There is no advantage in jailbreaking an iPod, since it only allows for more customization of an iPod. For the iPod Touch, you could get all apps for free, but it is illegal.
