Because it is their mother tongue, and in these modern days with education and modern technology, every ethnic grouping should keep on teaching and telling their children about their heritage and their language, so that it would never be lost. It is a work in progress for all mankind, and everyone's responsibility to their native language and heritage. You can learn any other language, but your mother tongue should never be lost. I am very proud and glad that my first language is Samoan.
