just regular prestone in the yellow jug or equivelent will do mixed 50% anti-freeze and 50% distilled water or you can buy pre mixed.
its yellow or G05 from zerex in the gold bottle. but you can use prestone all make all models just not the green stuff. I believe the factory fill was green.
Regular coolant or a global coolant will work also. Thanks for your answer. I failed to mention that I have yellow in radiator now, should I stay with yellow? Is there harm in mixing colors?
Preston in yellow jug or equiv. mixed 50/50 with distilled water
If the color in the car is green...yes. If you are changing the coolant completely, give it a good flush first, then put in whatever color you want. When in doubt, use the Prestone yellow "any color" anti-freeze.
Coloring is deliberately added to antifreeze; the actual "active ingredients" are largely colorless. You should not assume that just because it's red, it's exactly the same as any other red. (Also, you should not assume that it's "better" than green/yellow/blue/pink/whatever. Particular antifreeze formulations are designed for particular types of cooling systems; use the type recommended by your owner's manual.)
Most pre-99 models use the plain green stuff I do believe. However, if in doubt you should be able to use that newer universal yellow type.
as in: the colour should of been yellow not gold
You should use the correct antifreeze as listed in your owner's manual. There is 3 types of antifreeze, Ethylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, and HOAT antifreeze. These will be of a different color. Green, orange, yellow and possibly others. Don't rely of the color. Never mix these together. In your Honda, which uses long life antifreeze, either use Honda or use Zerez Asian Vehicle coolant. Avoid universal coolants that claim to meet all specifications. Also mix your antifreeze with distilled water and not tap water. To be absolutely sure just buy Honda Antifreeze and you will know it is the correct coolant. It will cost very little more.
According to the 2004 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and YELLOW colored antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification WSS-M97B51-A1 )
I think you should wear anything maroon under a yellow jersey.
You should use the blue key, not the yellow.
