No. It's always easier not to say anything instead of lie. The old expression - 'Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive' says it all. One lie leads to another and another and another - and pretty soon we forget what truth is and how to tell it, both from ourselves and others - let alone having to remember 'all' of the lies we have told and who we have told them to . . . it just becomes too hard - and we are always caught out in the end . . . losing friends and trust and our self esteem in the process.
I for one say - don't say anything instead of lie!
well... it depends when you should lie and when you should tell the truth... because sometimes you have to lie for example you have to lie to people to make them happy or it is a surprise birthday and you lie to the birthday person that you don't remember their birthday... but in real life and emotions toward the person you love ... you have to be honest..
you should lie to your x 100%
you should lie down on the chair because if you lie down on the floor you can get dizzy

You can lie but you should rather not. It would be a fair game.

You should never lie to make someone feel better, all they want is the truth!
You should say "I am going to lie down." "Lie" is the correct verb to use when referring to reclining or resting horizontally. "Lay" requires a direct object and is used when placing something down.
