If he/her is aggresive, then yes you should. Your dog could be put down for attacking somebody, so its better not to take any chances. But if your not sure if your pets aggresive towards people or other animals, than you should try wearing a muzzle once or twice, see how it goes.
A muzzle should never be used to try and "cure" aggression in dogs. That requires training. You should never use a muzzle to stop a dog from barking. How would you like having a muzzle put on you mid-way through a conversation? The muzzle flash gave away the sniper's position.

According to ASPCA guidelines, you can use any muzzle to stop your dog from barking, as long as the muzzle is comfortable for the dog to wear and does not restrict it from opening it's mouth.
Take your dog in to see your Veterinarian immediately. The Vet will sedate your dog to remove these quills as the quills have barbs on the ends that twist to the side so very painful to the dog to take them out, without any sort of sedation. If you have to do it yourself, then muzzle your dog with something like a long piece of gauze tied around his muzzle. Then get yourself some pliers and start pulling them out. But just keep in mind that this is going to be extremely painful for your dog and is really should be done by a Vet who can sedate your dog and then afterwards put him or her on antibiotics to make sure an infection does not set in.
In "Where the Red Fern Grows," the term "muzzle" refers to the nose and mouth area of a dog. The muzzle is often used in the context of restraining or covering a dog's mouth.
get a muzzle maybe? (for the dog obviously) :)
Yes, you can get whats called a 'cage muzzle'. This allows the dog to open his mouth all the way and pant but not allow him to put his mouth onto anything, or anything in his mouth.
