You should only bid on an item on eBay if you really want it.

If you see two or more similar items that you would like, you should only bid on one at a time and not bid on any of the others until the previous auctions have ended.

This is because if you bid on an item and are then outbid by someone else, although common sense dictates that you have lost the item and are free to look for another one, eBay doesn't work like that.

They say that if you have placed a bid and are outbid by someone else you should wait until the auction actually finishes before you go and bid on an alternative because if the person who outbid you subsequently retracts their bid, you could still win the item.

This is confusing and unfair but it is how eBay works.

No. It means the auction will end for that item or the sale of that item will end at that time. Ebay items are bid on for a period of time. At the end, the highest bidder gets the item. How long does it take for an eBay item to be delivered after a feedback has been left?

Feedback is not normally left until after the package has arrived with the buyer so this is an unusual question. The length of time the item will take to arrive depends how long it takes the seller to dispatch the item, which shipping method the seller used, and where in the world the item is being sent from. If you are concerned about the length of time your item is taking to arrive, you can always contact the seller and ask them when you should expect it.

When this is completed, one should click the "sell" button to list their item.

What does it mean watcher on eBay?

When buyers find items they are interested in they often click the "watch this item" button. This basically bookmarks the item so that buyers can check on it at a later time. They are not necessarily bidders of any kind; a watcher simply will watch an item for many different reasons and none of them may to be for your benefit. Sometimes, however, a watcher will watch and then bid as the auction comes to the end. A watcher should not affect anything you do on eBay.
