You should put it in your resume because it is better than leaving an unexplained gap in work experience. You should always try to make the skills you employed in your previous jobs sound like ones that would be useful for the job for which you are applying. So even if you were waiting tables for the past several months and are applying for a nursing position, you could list things such as attention to detail, hospitality and friendliness as job responsibilities.
