My 1997 Grand Caravan SE 3.8L w/169K just got a rebuilt transmission for $2495 at AAA.
It's guaranteed for 3yrs Since the rest of the car is in very good condition, I thought it was worth it
No, the engines are completely different 3.3's , and the transmissions have different electrical plugs.
No
hi the speed sensor on a 96 caravan is located right under the air filter and on the transmission to replace it you just need to remove the air filterand you will see it on top of the tranny.
'95 dodge caravan tranny has blown and need to remove circulation pump with tourque converter to transfer to '94 tranny, but can't get pump out of '95. How do i remove tranny circulation pump without damaging it?
It should, but check the engine sizes to be sure. The difference between the Grand Caravan and the Caravan was wheel base length. There were no significant differences in the engines. You are more likely to have issues if you are trying to put the tranny from a 3.0L onto a 3.8L
NoNo
cost 3-4 grand to replace
it cost 1500 dollars to replace my tranny at the local tranny shop
No, you should not put anything except power steering fluid in. You can on systems such as my dodge caravan, where atf is the factory recommended fluid.
