Yes.. well if you want to. If your eyes start to get itchy and tired give your eyes a break. You may need contacts to see while reading the newspaper but not really so much on the trail. I run with contacts in though, and I am fine. They are highly comfortable because I have very bad vision and with contacts I don't have glasses bouncing around my face. So the conclusion Yes and NO your decision.
