No, keeping your hand on your heart is showing that you have the same respect.

our america, i think
It says God's name in the pledge of allegence. i think thats rediculous. i am a catholic so i think this is very wrong. it im going to send out a law saying that public schools should say the pledge of allegence in public schools. I also think that public schools should pray and go to mass once a week. i know that catholic schools do too. this is also absolutely ridiculous. I also think that praying is the bomb dig a dig. praying and mass should be a important quiet time in your life. JUST REMEMBER TO PRAY GO TO MASS AND SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGENCE!
School students in the United States first began reciting the Pledge of Allegiance on October 12, 1892. The pledge was created by Francis Bellamy for a national celebration of Columbus Day and was originally published in a children's magazine. It gained popularity and was officially adopted by the American Legion in 1942. The wording has since been modified, notably with the addition of "under God" in 1954.
I say Pledge of allegiance first
A pledge is a solemn promise or understanding between one or more people. A pledge is a commitment between each other to stand by the pledge at all times.
No, there should not. A comma would indicate a pause, but one was not included when the pledge was updated in 1954. To me, saying, "one nation under God" without a pause sounds much better.
The United States pledge Is: I pledge of allegiance to the flag of the united states of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The Texas pledge is I pledge of allegiance to Thee, Texas one state under God one and indivisible
Yes, "Pledge of Allegiance" should be capitalized when used in a sentence, as it is a proper noun referring to a specific pledge. For example, you would write, "We recited the Pledge of Allegiance before the meeting." However, the phrase "the pledge of allegiance" in a general context would not be capitalized.
There is not much difference between collateral and pledge. If you put something up as collateral, if you fail to pay the loan, the item that you pledged will be taken. Either word can be used.
Yes. It is appropriate to pledge allegiance without a flag present.
It is hoped that patriotism will be inculcated by the daily repetition of the pledge of allegiance, but I personally have my doubts.
