Opinion 1:
I think it depends on the situation really... like if it's bad you should tell him sooner or later... I think that you like should just tell him the truth and you want to wait to tell him you should. but you should find a way to tell him the truth:)
Opinion 2:
The truth is what I would prefer.
Some times the truth can be painful.
It is never the less much better to get the truth rather than get a lie and suspect it is a lie. Honesty is the foundation of any relationship.
If you were honest when getting together, why be dishonest when going apart!
By being honest, at least you will feel better yourself and also your ex can not truthfully tell people that you are a liar.
By telling the truth, maybe he/she will meet you with understanding rather than anger, hopelessness and possibly true deep sorrow.
tell him the truth because he will find out soon or later and it would be better to hear it from you.
You should tell him
When,in court, you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and then tell a lie.
tell the truth. whatever is being hidden, it hurts to keep it hidden when hedden long enough. its always better to share it, if its with a preist, a friend, or a man of the law. lying will only get someone in more trouble when they are caught.
Tell the truth.
Lying is more than just unfair. Anyone that you lie to will most likely have trouble ever trusting you again. Besides from the obvious 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you' part of life. Lying causes un-needed strife. Most people would rather you tell them the truth straight up (as hard as it might be) then have you tell them un-truths until eventually the truth comes out. No matter what you try, you cannot keep a lie true. Lying is unfair because it tells the person that you are lying to that you don't care enough about them to tell the truth. Lying is unfair because when you lie you don't give that person a way to defend you in the truth. Lying is generally more unfair to you, then to who you are lying to. Because when you lie, you cannot unburden yourself to anyone.
it all depends on the severity of the crime either way tho you should always tell the truth because you could easily be thrown into jail for lying
telling the truth when you have been lying
No, he is lying. If he were saying the truth, then, in theory, as he is a chicken, he would be lying. Then, he cannot tell the truth. So, he is lying. But, if he is lying, then all chickens say the truth, and he cannot be lying. The key lies in the word "all". He is lying that ALL chickens always lie, therefore not necessarily all chickens say the truth. It could be that some chickens always lie. The truth does not have to be the opposite. Therefore, he is lying that chickens always lie, and the truth is that "some chickens always lie".
If you keep lying about something people will just stop believing things you say.. And then when you tell the truth people won't believe you.
Lies produce more lies and secrets and honesty is the best policy. However, by telling him the truth you may risk losing him. Example: If you may have cheated on him while dating him then it is better to tell him because someone else may.
There is no way to be certain just by asking. Someone who is lying would lie about telling the truth. The "Liar's Paradox" is that no one can rationally answer a question about the truth by saying "I am lying." This is clearly because if you are telling the truth, you say "I am telling the truth" and if you are actually lying (about lying), you would again say "I am telling the truth" (a lie).If you said you were lying, you would have to be telling the truth, but you're not because you are lying. This is similar to the double-negative paradigm ("He's not right...he's just not wrong").
