Pecan can be as beneficial as any other type of mulch... its unique and attractive... but be careful with it, I suggest not wearing flip flops! :) it maybe a bit more difficult to control though!
Yes it is a great mulch.
You don't use bags for mulch. You buy bags OF mulch. And you can get them at the box stores at the right time of year.
You can use colored mulch in whatever season you want to use it in!
figure it out hull
Yes. Eucalyptus leaves can be used as mulch. However, they should be composted for several months first. This will allow time for the resins and other toxic compounds to leach out.
They use to but i convinced them to change to pecan pie and now they eat that exclusively.
Use a spray bee killer for the particular type of bees in the mulch bed. Be careful walking around the mulch as the bees may be inside the mulch as well.
Pine mulch is used in the southern states because it is very easy to come across and it looks nice. But, mulch is mulch you can use it up north too. mulch is just a matter of taste for your yard.
I spread that mulch all over the flowerbeds yesterday.
Yes you should either spray them with a weed killer or simply use a shovel and dig up the sod layer, that is what I do each time I expand my flower beds. No more weeks. You can also use a recycled rubber mulch which lasts for 10 years, cuts way down on the mulch work.
You can use other nuts, but then it wouldn't be a pecan pie. Well worth a shot, though.
I say walnuts! you use walnuts in banana nut muffins, sticky buns, fudge...and what about pecans??!! they don't have pecan banana nut muffins, pecan sticky buns, or pecan fudge!!!!!
