Shut down problem in windows xp and can't reopen from standby mode tell me solution?

Try to open it and keep for a while. If it didn't work try to press power down if it didn't work. You have no choice but shut the computer down. Press and hold the power button until computer goes off. It might happen (usually doesn't) that the power button trick doesn't work. In such case you need to disconnect the computer from the power line. If it's a laptop you need to remove the battery as well.
