yes the males are big if you can look at picture you can see
The silverback gorilla eats what other gorillas in its locale eat. We don't "pull out" the silverback gorilla for a study of the food chain of the gorilla. Why? The silverback gorilla is just a mature male of the species. That's all. In that light, it eats what other gorillas in its region eat. The gorilla is essentially a vegetarian, and it really has no other animals that prey on it. (This, though man kills it for meat and/or to trade in its body parts.) The diet of the gorilla will vary a bit as the flora vary in the area it roams. Use the link below for more information on what the gorilla eats.

The silverback gorilla is a mature male of the species, and it will be some 11 or 12 years old. Consider that as people age, their hair goes grey or silver. The same applies to the old male gorilla. It's that simple. The silverback is not a separate species or an animal that has mutated. For instance, a lowland gorilla is a lowland gorilla, whether it is a 2-year old female or a 13-year old silverback male at the head of the family.Adult Gorillas are known as silver backs due to the silver hair they develop when they reach adult hood
Silverbacks are male gorillas that have a distinctive patch of silver hair on their backs. This term is not used to describe females or based on their behavior, but rather on their maturity and dominance within a group.

Well, honey, gorillas typically have brown eyes. They may not have the dazzling array of eye colors like us humans, but those big brown eyes sure do know how to tug at your heartstrings. So, if you're ever lucky enough to look into a gorilla's eyes, just remember they're probably judging you and your questionable life choices.
According to livescience.com, male gorillas commonly stand over 6 feet (1.83 meters), and weigh over 400 pounds (181.5 kg). Female gorillas are somewhat shorter, and weigh about half as much. There also exist claims of gorillas approaching 7 feet (2.13 meters) and 600 pounds (272 kg), though these are unverified.
