Sabrina and Daphne Grimm come to live with their grandmother, a woman they thought dead, one and a half years after the mysterious disappearance of their parents. She tells the girls that they are descendants of the famous Brothers Grimms, and that most fairy tales are true and most "characters" live in their town. The girls are skeptical at first, but when a giant kidnaps their grandmother, they rush off to save her.
