There are only three types of physical matter, solid, liquid, and gas. there are other categories are what we call sub categories which are

Four: Plasma- a gas so hot the electrons have broken off the atoms

Five: Bose-Einstein condensate- when the temperature is extremely low, the particles merge to form one giant particle

Six: Fermionic Condensate- there are two groups, bosons and fermions. Fermions resist getting put together. When they are put together, that is the sixth state of matter

What are the six physical changes that matter goes through?

Melting (solid -> liquid) Evaporating (liquid -> gas) Subliming (solid -> gas) or (gas -> solid) both are called sublimation Condensing (gas-> liquid) freezing (liquid -> solid)

What six physical properties that matter can go through?

Matter can undergo several physical changes, including changes in state (such as melting, freezing, boiling, and condensing), changes in shape (such as cutting or molding), changes in size (such as stretching or compressing), changes in density (by altering temperature or pressure), changes in color (due to physical mixing or dilution), and changes in texture (such as grinding or polishing). These changes do not alter the chemical composition of the substance, allowing it to retain its identity.

What are six physical changes matter can undergo?

this is all i have... melting freezing dissolving crushing sanding cutting.... this is all from a science book

Which of the six branches of chemistry would a scientist be working if he or she was investigating energy relationships for various reactions?

The scientist would be working in the branch of physical chemistry, which involves studying the physical properties and behavior of matter, particularly in relation to energy changes during chemical reactions.

What are six forms of energy related to changes of matter?

mechanical,thermal,chemical,electromagnetic,electrical,and nuclear

What are four forms of energy related to change in matter?

Four forms of energy related to change in matter are thermal (heat) energy, chemical energy, nuclear energy, and electrical energy. These forms of energy can cause physical or chemical changes in matter by providing the necessary energy for these changes to occur.

What are the 6 types of phase change?

melting, vaporization, sublimation, condensation, freezing, and deposition are six types of changes in matter.

Distinguish Between physical and chemical properties or changes in matter?

chemical properties of matter is matter based on its ability to participate in chemical reactions and form new substances .chemical property of matter is chemical that do change the chemical nature of the matter.there are also 2 chemical properties of matter:1. Combustibility - How easily it will react/explode with another substance.2. Reaction with Acid - Pretty much self explanatory...How it will react when combined with acid.

How are physical and chemical changes different in two ways?

a physical change can be reversed but a chemical changes is not. you can all tell the different from a physical and chemical change by seeing if the color or if the substances is still in it normal element and it a chemical change if it has been change to a new substances like a burn paper change to Ashes. It is all most a physical change but it can not be reversed back.

What are the scientific changes in state?

Melting, Freezing, Deposition, Sublimation, Evaporation, Condensation. These are the six changes of state in science. :D By: Lola251999jbse

List six physical changes that matter can go through?

When a solid changes to liquid it's called melting. When a solid changes to gas it's called sublimation. When a liquid changes to a solid it's called freezing. When a liquid is changed to a gas it's called evaporation. When a gas changes to a solid it's called deposition. When a gas changes to a liquid it's called condensation.

What are six forces that bring about the weathering of rock?

The six forces that bring about the weathering of rock are mechanical weathering (e.g. frost action, root wedging), chemical weathering (e.g. oxidation, dissolution), biological weathering (e.g. plant roots, burrowing animals), temperature changes, pressure changes, and erosion by wind, water, or ice.
