life span varies from spicies to species .in the wild ,achatinidae snails 5-7years helix snails 2-3 years ,aquatic snails 1 year .most deaths are due to predators. in captivatity there life span is much longer ranging from 10-15 years. some have even lived for as long as 30 years.

well if my calculations are correct, i would say that the average slug ( who has been well looked after) will live to around 7 years and 4 months. The most common cause of death is salt and being stood on.

Slugs live from 3 days to 12 months, some can also live for six years - it really varies from which sort of slug you mean!
