Use Chiltons repair manual for the model year. Then you will find the engine specs.
The points gap at 0.019 and the dwell will set at 30 The timing should set between 8 to 10 degrees before top dead center. Remember that changing the timing will change the dwell. Timing changes the dwell. but the dwell don't change the timing. So set the timing first.

On the front side of the engine towards the passenger side of the block, there is a small rubber insert just below the head (near the #4 exhaust port. ) If you remove the rubber stopper a pointer and the timing marks will be visible.
The timing tab will be drivers side, right abover the bottom pulley. The dampner will have a slot cut accross it's surface. Via strobe, or timing light, these two will line up.
no you need timing tools put a timing pin in the block to lock the crankshaft and use the timing tool to lock the cams
Have you tried looking on the engine block and on the harmonic balancer?
The timing marks are located under the timing cover (passenger side of block behind the drive belt bracket. It is unneccessary to disassemble your vehicle to see them. Just simpy pull the plastic plug off the top of the timing cover. This is the spy hole where you can see the timing mark. The timing mark is very small and can easily be overlooked. There should be timing marks on the block, set your cylinder to TDC and you should be able to time it
