Solution for the main conflict in new moon?

Bella jumps off of a cliff. Alice sees this in a vision and figures Bella is dead. Alice tells Rosalie. Alice flies to Forks to comfort Charlie. Rosalie and her big mouth tell Edward. Edward goes to the Volturi and asks to die. Volturi say no. Edward comes up with a plan to expose himself so the Volturi kill him. Alice sees this in a vision. Alice discovers that Bella isn't dead, and takes her to Volterra to stop Edward and prove that she is alive so he won't kill himself. Bella runs into Edward just in time. There you go.
