First of all, Jupiter, even though it is massive, gets almost no light from the Sun. It is more than 5 times from the Sun than the distance from the Earth to the Sun; that means the sunlight is much more spread out and Jupiter gets much less of it.

Second of all, since Jupiter is SO massive, it actually exerts some energy because of its internal pressure.

im not sure but im guessing that its because they have a hot core in the centre of them, but double check though

they are still slowly contracting after formation.

They are slowly contracting which creates gravitational or kinetic energy which gives off heat.

Which planet will shine without sun?

Jupiter, in a way, could do that. Jupiter does give out its own "light", but it's infra red light, so you can't see it. Jupiter gives out more energy than it gets from the Sun. Incidentally, Saturn and Neptune also do this to some extent. Jupiter, in a way, could do that. Jupiter does give out its own "light", but it's infra red light, so you can't see it. Does Jupiter absorb heat from the sun?

yes but it emits more energy than it gets from the sun though

What two planets give off more energy form the sun?

Venus and jupiter

Which emits the most energy Jupiter or the sun?

The Sun emits significantly more energy than Jupiter. Jupiter is a gas giant planet and does not generate its own energy like the Sun does. The Sun's energy output is the result of nuclear fusion reactions occurring in its core, while Jupiter primarily radiates the energy it receives from the Sun.

It raidiates more energy than it receives?

jupiter

What planet gives off more energy than it receives from the Sun?

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all give off more heat than they receive.

How hot or cold is Jupiter?

Jupiter is a gas giant and does not have a solid surface to define a specific temperature. The outer atmosphere of Jupiter is extremely cold, but as you descend deeper into the planet, the temperatures rise to extreme levels due to the intense pressure and heat generated by gravitational forces.

What planet radiates more energy from space than it receives from the sun?

It is Jupiter

Will your testosterone shots give you energy?

It did not give me more energy.

What happens to the potential energy and the energy of a ball as it rolls down a hill from a position of rest at the top of the hill?

The potential energy gets less until the ball gets to the bottom of the hill, at which point the potential energy is zero. The potential energy that is lost, gets converted to Kinetic energy of the ball that goes faster and faster as it gets more and more of the Potential energy.

How cold does it get on Jupiter?

Jupiter has a fairly constant temperature. On the surface, Jupiter reaches a bone-chilling temperature of -234 degrees Fahrenheit. It rarely gets more than a few degrees warmer than this.

What planet delivers more heat then it gets?

All of the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) radiate more heat than they receive.
