That all depends on the couple. Some opposites attract because they work so well together; its like they're each others other half. Other couples' opposites may attract but they don't necessarily work well together, and the relationship becomes destructive.
A lot of people just don't "click" and don't have chemistry. Some people might not have the same interests as others (it's not always true that opposites attract)
