ANS2:Substances are moved into cells by both active transport and passive transport. An example of active transport is "Endocytosis". An example of passive transport is "Diffusion".Substances move into a cell either by diffusion or osmosis. Diffusion means to spread out.
Osmosis only occurs with a semipermeable membrane which is the type of membrane around a cell.
endocytosis
Is Diffusion the movement of molecules from a greater to a lesser concentration.
Movement of water molecules.
Endocytosis; bulk transport into the cell.
Endocytosis is the provess used by the cell to bring in large molecules.
The movement of things through the cell would be called diffusion. If it is water we are talking about then it is called osmosis. diffusion and osmosis are examples of inactive transport. Active transport involves specific proteins in the cell that pull material in the cell though the cell membrane.
Exocytosis
Active transport: The movement of particles against the concentration gradient into or out of a cell. Bulk transport:The movement of large molecules into or out of the cell. Both of these require energy
cell wall
Is Diffusion the movement of molecules from a greater to a lesser concentration.
decreased movement of molecules entering the cells decreased movement of molecules entering the cells
The movement in and out of a cell is called active transport. Liquids inside cells contain different substances and there is movement in and out to maintain a proper balance of ions and molecules.
Movement of water molecules.
Endocytosis; bulk transport into the cell.
This would probably be phagocytosis.
Exocytosis is the process by which large molecules are transported out of the cell.
Exocytosis is the process by which large molecules are transported out of the cell.
The movement of large particles of solid food or whole cells into the cell is called phagocytosis. Phagocytosis occurs in three separate steps.
