umm...im not sure what the previous answerers mental deseise is but... he has two official names. his first & most commonly misused today is hyper shadow. this was what he was called in the comics, but seince shadow the hedgehog, it has changed. in the game shadow the hedgehog he is called super shadow, wich is now the official status of any sonic character in there super form. (aside from burning blaze.) hyper shadow is now used today as the 2nd super form of him, when he makes the emeralds super emerald, giving him much more power. so tehre you have it, not hyper shadow, not anchient shadow, but the one, the only...........
