The Nile has two major tributaries, the White Nile and Blue Nile. The White Nile rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source in southern Rwanda.
Two dams were built at that point - the newer Aswan High Dam and the older Aswan Dam or Aswan Low Dam.
The Nile has two beginning spots. The White Nile is formed at Lake No in Sudan and the Blue Nile originates from Lake Tana in Ethiopia. The two rivers meet near the city of Khartoum in Sudan. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Mediterranean Sea.
The city located at the confluence of the White Nile and Blue Nile is Khartoum, which serves as the capital of Sudan. This strategic location has historically made Khartoum an important center for trade and culture in the region. The meeting of the two Niles also gives the city significant geographical and ecological importance.
There are only two dams on the Ganges river.
Mainly the commercialism of it and the building of dams to control it and produce hydro-electricity.
One ancient civilization that included two regions, a southern region and a northern region, is Ancient Egypt. The southern region, known as Upper Egypt, was located along the Nile River in the southern part of the country, while the northern region, known as Lower Egypt, was located in the Nile Delta region in the north. These two regions were eventually united under the rule of the pharaohs, creating a single kingdom.
The indus valley and mesopotamia are two regions but I suspect you could also add in the nile valley and southern britain.
the white nile and the blue nile
