Get a person who knows coils. Getting advice in written form could get you hurt.

The Tesla coil transformer employed a capacitor which, upon break-down of a short spark gap, became connected to a coil of a few turns (the primary winding), forming a resonant circuit with the frequency of oscillation, usually 20-100 kHz, determined by the capacitance of the capacitor and the inductance of the coil.

What is a tap on a Tesla Coil and where should you wire it?

If you are working with a coil, you should have all parts of the coil and knowledge to work with them. In the related links box below, I posted a websited which has all this knowledge and another one about builduing the tesla coil.

Where did Nikola Tesla invent the coil?

A Tesla coil is a type of resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891. It is used to produce high voltage which Tesla used to test a way to conduct wireless electricity. Something about Tesla was that his inventions were not an accident like most inventions. He visioned the inventions in his head and then make them work. The Tesla coil experiments were done or conducted in the Colorado Springs laboratory. We could think that the first Tesla Coil was built there but the idea could be in his head way back from New York when he was working with George Wentishouse.

How does the Tesla Coil work?

it has a discharge sphere that does that. but the electricity has to be treated by a transformer, capacitor, spark gap, primary coil and a secondary coil. after that the sphere released the charge.

What year did Nikola Tesla invent the Tesla coil?

Oh, what a lovely question! Nikola Tesla invented the Tesla coil back in 1891. It's a remarkable invention that has fascinated and inspired many people over the years. Just like a happy little tree, inventions like the Tesla coil can bring so much joy and wonder to the world.

When was the first Tesla coil made?

The Tesla coil, invented in 1891, is still used in radio and television sets and other electronic equipment. Tesla is considered one of the outstanding intellects who paved the way for many of the technological developments of modern times.

How does a distributor work?

The distributor takes the electrical output from the coil and sends it to the spark plug. The rotor is the device that transfers the electricity from the coil wire to the spark plug wire.

How long was the Tesla Coil used?

The coil was made to work the wireless free energy idea. He did light some 200 bulbs at about 59 miles away. The investors did not want to give the energy for free so tesla warned them the next generations would receive the consequences. After that the coil was used in homes for internment.

How do you test the coil on lesabre 3800 engine?

I think you remove one of the spark plug wires from the coil and hold it far apart from the coil. Have someone turn the key so the car is turning over. Bring the spark plug wire closer to the coil and if there is spark the coil is good. Note: if you hold to close you will get a very good jolt of spark if the coil is good, that is why you start far away and work your way closer.

What Nikola Tesla famous for?

His mayor deed was the invention of the electrical system the whole word uses daily. Then comes the wireless contribution. All wireless devices are based on the Tesla coil. A Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891. He was also the pioneer on remote control.

When was The Fantastic Inventions of Nikola Tesla created?

"The Fantastic Inventions of Nikola Tesla" is not a specific work or creation by Tesla himself. Tesla was known for numerous inventions and innovations throughout his lifetime, including alternating current (AC) electricity, the Tesla coil, and wireless power transmission.

How does a singing tesla coil work?

A singing Tesla coil works by modulating the frequency of the electrical discharges from the coil at audible frequencies, creating musical tones. The varying frequency of the discharges creates vibrations in the air, producing sound waves that we can hear. Different notes are produced by changing the frequency of the electrical pulses.

2001 Ford 4.6 Stalls and surges when idling?

these engines have a coil on plug. first i would change the spark plug boots because they are known to cause this issue by grounding spark from the coil to the block. its best if you can check misfire condition with a scan tool to determine this. if the plug boots dont fix the problem then try the coil pack. if that doesnt work check for a manifold leak (coolant or vacume). good luck
