1995 Honda civici can not get any fire out of dist to plugs you have changed dist no help you know dist is good you put it in another Honda civic and it workedi am lost help pleasealso have checked al?

Check the coil then. The spark originates at the coil and it distributed to the correct spark plug by the distributor. If you get a spark from the coil and not at the plugs then there is something wrong at the distributor. If you are getting no spark from the coil, then check to see if it's getting power. If it is then replace the coil. Hope that helps... the coil is internal in the distributor, if the distributor worked in another civic, then something would be wrong with your wiring or ecu. check your ecu, once you acces the ecu, when you first turn your ignition on the ecu will flash once, that will tell you if the ecu is getting power, next check your fuses. sounds simple. and last try checking your timing, might be so far out, when it is time to spark it will miss.

No fire from disrubutor of car?

If you're not getting spark from the distributor, see if you're getting spark from the ignition coil. If there's no spark there, then the coil is either bad, or it's not wired up correctly.

No input voltage to the coil or the coil is bad. Check the distributor for issues and the wires.

Will a distributor spark if it is not in the correct position?

That's not really what's going on. The coil makes the spark, the distributor distributes the spark to the correct plug. If the distributor is not in the correct position, the spark does not go to the correct plug, or goes to the correct plug at the wrong time.

Why are you not getting spark in your 1981 Chevy 350?

Many possiblities. It depends on if you have a coil or an HEI ignition. If you have a coil, check your distributor to make sure your coil wire is attached properly. If your coil is attached, unplug it from your distributor and hold it close to the connection while someone cranks your engine. If you do not see a spark, your coil is bad. If you do see a spark, your rotor might be bad, or your points.
