spring are subjected to torque or twisting moment when they subjected to load.As the load is applied both tensile or compressive the coil is subjected to twisting moment which is max at the centre and min at the circumference just opposite to the shaft.
Any spring that is left under tension will gradually lose its springiness, due to metal fatigue.
If the spring is dissolved in acid and the spring is under tension the potential energy is still released as kinetic energy. The law of energy is that it can neither created nor destroyed is a constant. As the spring dissolves the energy is released. Just be cause the spring does not bounce in to it's natural shape does not mean that the energy was not released.
A well is a hole excavated to the water table of the area. A spring is a leak or opening thru which the water escapes from an underground water source, allowing water to seep out. An artesian well is like a cross between a well and a spring but under pressure.
When the washer is agitating or spinning, the spring allows the tub to move yet keep under control from the vibrations. It it were mounted firmly, the washing machine would bounce all over and the transmission would soon wear out. The spring(s) act as shock absorbers.
How about a spring? There are two kinds of springs, and you can tell the difference by looking at them when they're not under load. We'll call one a pulling spring, and the other a pushing spring. A pulling spring has all the coils touching when it's just laying there; a pushing spring has the coils spread out. I'm calling them what I'm calling them because you load a pulling spring by pulling on it and it pulls to return to its at-rest state, and you load a pushing spring by pushing on it (or "compressing" it) and it pushes to return to rest.If you load a pushing spring, it will contain potential energy equivalent to the load you put on it. Remove the load, and the spring will relax to its at-rest state. If the spring's big enough and you allow it to relax in an uncontrolled fashion, it can do terrible damage--one of the warnings we give mechanics who work on suspension springs is, "if you don't secure the spring while you're releasing the tension, it will take your head off." And it will.

As of 12:30 EDT on March 18, 2013 Spring City, Tennessee is not under a tornado watch. It is, however under a severe thunderstorm watch. A tornado warning has been issued near Lewisburg, though that is some distance from Spring City.
if the axle is on top of the spring: get a pair of longer front spring shackle if the spring is under the axle: Get a pair of spring blocks.
Under no circumstances
It won't be easy to change this flasher on your Lexus GS 460. You will have to get something to lie on, as the wiring is located under headlight. You will want a wiring chart before you begin. From there, it is easy to plug in the new bulb by twisting them out and twisting the new one back in.
The sever is under maintainance at moment
On the passengers' side of the car you'll have to lift the plastic cover over the engine and look at the MAP sensor located at the passengers' end of the plastic cover (black in color and held in place by plastic clips--making up the entire MAP sensor assembly). There are three wires connected to the MAP sensor. Remove the wire assembly first. The MAP sensor is removed by twisting it counter clockwise (a small pair of channel locks might assist in removing it). There is a large spring just under the MAP sensor that pushes down on the PCV valve. Remove the MAP sensor and spring and then you can access the PCV valve. You might need a pair of plyers to remove the PCV valve. Installation of the MAP sensor assembly is done by replacing the spring, putting the MAP sensor assembly on the spring, assure the assembly is in the counterclockwise position and twisting it clockwise to reinstall.
I assume you are asking about BB guns not Air soft guns. There are a few that fall under $50 but they are C02 not spring powered. Marksman makes a line of spring pistols under $50 but they are terrible and not worth the cost. See the link below for C02 air guns.
