Depends what your looking for really... Edinburgh has countless numbers of tourist attractions. Edinburgh's old town is very popular, whereas shopping is ultimately as popular. At Christmas, there is a "Winter Wonderland" in the center of town that includes a ferris wheel, an out door ice rink, a German market and fun-fair type attractions. Edinburgh also has many museums.

There are many things to see in these towns, and some recomendations from me are, in Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Jenna's and the Royal Mile and in Glasgow, the main attraction is really shopping, but there are losts of interesting museums and stuff.
