Most states check on previous licenses when a new license is applied for. If a license is suspended in another state, it is unlikely a new license will be issued in another.
You must clear up any issues within the state where your license was suspended. almost all states except two have inter-connected DMV database where getting a license in another state is impossible.
No, you cannot obtain a Michigan driver's license if you have a suspended license in another state. Michigan's Department of State requires that all outstanding suspensions or revocations from other states be resolved before issuing a new license. It’s important to clear any legal issues with the previous state first to be eligible for a Michigan license.
All states share this information. You can't get a license in any state if it's suspended in another state.
Yes it is. If your license is suspended in any state and you get a new license in a different state then you are driving illegally. Tow it away. States honor each others laws.
Not in the United States of America. The staus of your license is maintained on a national database, not a local one. Therefore, every time you apply for a license, your driver's status is checked through NCIC, at which time the suspension in another state would come up. The answer is yes but you have to obtain a licence in another state before it is suspended. Then once your license is suspended is that state the new state you got a licence in would have to notify you that your license is being suspeneded in that state also. Suppose you have the same name as someone else you would need time to dispute the suspention. Until you receive something in the mail from the new state then you are good to drive. From experience the new state will likely not know of the suspention ever.
the Pennsylvania dmv will ask if you've had a license in any other state. and if it is currently suspended or revoked. you can lie and see if anything pops up in the computer. you won't get in trouble for lying to the dmv, you just won't get your license. but usually, no. another state will not give you a license if your suspended or revoked in another state.Added; It is against the law to possess a drivers license from any other state other than the one you reside in.
Yes. All state's DMV's share their files with one another. If you are suspended/revoked in one state you lare suspended/revoked in them all. When applying for a "new" license they WILL check your past record.
You must be a legal resident of whatever state you wish to receive a drivers license in. If you are suspended or revoked in any state - this information is available to ALL state's DMV's.
Not likely. If you have a pending matter in Jersey, then you should bust a move and get your new license in another state BEFORE the Jersey court enters the suspension order.
Absolutely not. When your priviledge to drive in a state is suspended, it's suspended on any licence until you pay the fee to have your driving priviledge reinstated.
If you are living in the same state where the driver's license was suspended then you will not be issued a new number. If you are in a new state, a new number will be given.
