I had a head injury, which caused bleeding in the ears. Went to Ear/Nose doctor and was notified that having a metallic taste in my mouth is normal with a head injury.
Bleeding through the nose, mouth or ear after the head injury is considered as the medical emergency. You have to get the patient admitted to the hospital. The CAT scan and /or MRI has to be performed. The neurosurgeon will take the necessary steps.
No neck injury. He just naturally has a slight tilt to his head, putting his nose a bit elevated.
How long does it take for a swollen nose to go down
Usually that can be a pimple on the inside of the nose.
Stri-dex pads
the nose should not bleed if the back (occipital region) of the head is struck. If this occurs after a blow to the rear of the head, it could indicate a more serious, internal injury may have occurred (possibly a skull fracture). If the individual lost consciousness during the event, that too is an indication that there could be more serious internal injuries. The nose usually bleeds after a direct blow, dried mucous membranes, or in some circumstances high blood pressure.
If splints are in your nose, once removed, your nose will look less swollen right away. Inside, though, the swelling may take 3-4 more weeks to go away.
It can stay swollen for up to a week, depending on how it is being taken care of, and how your body reacts to it.
Children with swollen feet should see a physician as soon as possible. Swollen feet in children can be caused by injury, infection, inflammation, or a more serious problem.
