Alliance players outnumber Horde players by about 4 to 1. Depending on what server you play on and what client (EU or US) you use. How old is this post because if you look now and I have several toons on different servers, I have been seen more Horde . I have an alliance DK and horde DK. i.m sorry the alliance DK blows. Try the starting areas of Northrend. Vengeance Landing or Warsong Hold for Horde, and whatever the starting Alliance Cities in Northrend are. If you can't find them there, then you should be able to find one in the neutral city of Dalaran. It has everything.

You can add characters as friends only if: a) they are on the same server as you are b) they are on the same faction (both Alliance or Horde) c) you spell their name correctly (including accents and odd letters) Otherwise, the game will say the character does not exist.
