Symptoms are subjective and that means we describe them with words but on the other hand signs are measured so there are numbers to describe them.

What is the difference between little and small?

little is used to refer to to figurative/subjective amounts more often whereas small is used more often for literal/objective amounts. There is, of course, lots of overlap. For literal vs figurative a "little bit" would first mean to me - a short while a "small bit" would first mean to me - a short drill piece / a short acting part ("bit part") For subjective vs objective: a "little man" would be more often said for jokes or to be derogatory a "small man" would be said more often for a description of relative stature

subjective simply means that it is a symptom that is only apperent to the patient. It isn't observable by anyone else. The oposite would be Objective, such as, "the patient is pale" while subjective is 'I have a pain in my head' When only one person can observe something it is subjective.

What is the difference between signs and symptoms?

A symptom is subjective from the patient point of view. A symptom is what the patient experiences about the illness, injury or disease. Symptoms can only be experienced, they are not able to be observed or measured objectively. Pain is a symptom. I do not know you are having pain unless you tell me. Nausea is also a symptom, as are: chills, numbness, fatigue, vertigo, malaise, itching, stomach cramps, burning on urination, etc. Symptoms can be characterized by the patient to help the physician diagnose the problem with that added information to consider along with the observations, measurements, laboratory findings and other diagnostic test results that are the objective signs.A sign is an objective physical manifestation of illness, injury or disease. It is an objective finding, something one can observe and measure. A rapid pulse, a high temperature, a low blood pressure, an open wound, bruising, etc. are all signs. Signs give a more definite indication of the presence of a particular disease to the physician. Signs may be described as the current 'showcase' that the doctor observes in the patient and in the diagnostic testing and measurements. So in the simplest form, signs are observations of the doctor and symptoms are the experiences of the patient.

What is the difference between subjective and objective methods of assessing physical activity?

I believe a subjective method would be suggesting (telling) someone a way (or different ways) of accomplishing an activity, while the objective method would be actually showing (moving - helping the person move) in order for them to perform an activity. Don't quite understand your question.
