Common symptoms of whooping cough include runny nose, sneezing, red/waterly eyes, a potentially mild fever, and of a persistent, dry cough that originates from the lungs. After it develops, the cough can become so hard and persistent it induces vomiting, and/or a high pitched "whopping" sound at the end of the cough. There is generally extreme fatigue that is associated with whopping cough as well.
