When someone is suffering from either pancreatitis or acute pancreatitis the common symptoms are pains in the tummy (abdomen) combined with fever, vomiting and generally not feeling well. In terms of abdomen pains these can often be quite severe but in non-pancreatitiscases this pain can often subside rapidly. Generally if the pain lasts for a few days then it is likely to be pancreatitis

Can you have pancreatitis after nephrectomy?

Hi, I Donated back in 2002. Immediately afterward, I was sick with the same symptoms that I now experience with Pancreatitis. I was never right since the surgery and the all doctors want to do is give you antacid and send you home. My Pancreatitis was never diagnosed until this year. I read on the Univ of Maryland website that surgery to the abdomen (laparoscopic in my case), heart or lungs that temporarily cuts of blood supply to the pancreas damaging tissue. The statute of limitations runs out after 4 years to sue so I am out of luck. I feel that I am unemployed and homeless because of my good deed. Anyone with comments are welcome to send them to donoradvocate@gmail.com Thanks, Sam A.
