Generally that would be LIFO or Last In First Out, which basically means, the last Inventory you get in is the first inventory you sale. While prices are constantly rising, that would mean the higher priced items would sale first. That however, is ONLY if they were the ones received at the latest time/date.
The word inventory does not have any true antonyms. Synonyms include backlog and reserve. The opposite of inventory would simply be a lack of inventory.

Like what type of business? An accounting firm wouldn't have an inventory account. A manufacturer would have an inventory. Think of it as if a company is selling a product as opposed to services they would generally have an inventory account.
An inventory is a list of things. On a ship the inventory would be a list of everything on board. In a computer game the inventory would be the list of items your character has on them to use in different ways. In a shop it would be a list of the stock.
Examples of items on a bank reconciliation that would require an adjusting entry on the company's books include bank fees, NSF checks, interest income, deposits in transit, and outstanding checks. These items may not have been recorded in the company's books at the time of the reconciliation, so adjusting entries are needed to bring the books into agreement with the bank statement.
In the game of RuneScape, this refers to leaving items in your bank. You would do this because (1) your regular inventory only has 28 spaces, the bank has much more; and (2) items left in your bank are safe. If you die, you'll lose items in your inventory and items you wear (except for the three most valuable items, usually), but you won't lose items that are in your bank.
The type of company that need to use inventory tracking software are multi million dollar companys that have high values of produce and product to sell. But for the most part and company should have use of invetory tracking software, cause its just good to have.

A retailer would typically use several types of inventory accounts. These may include "Finished Goods Inventory" to track the products ready for sale, "Raw Materials Inventory" to monitor the materials used in production, "Work in Progress Inventory" to track partially completed products, and "Merchandise Inventory" to keep a record of goods purchased for resale. Additionally, there may be specific inventory accounts for perishable or seasonal items.
There are 2 places your items can be stored, one is in your inventory, for immediate use. Its the bag you carry around with you all the time. When you get monster drops, and accept those drops, they will go into your inventory. Your default available slots in your inventory is 30. The other storage place would be the bank. In the bank, AC (Adventure Coin) items have free storage, meaning, if a weapon is AC, you can freely store it into the bank. All additional inventory/bank slots are 200 AC each.
