I believe that "Christianity" is more of a way of life than a religion. Christianity means to be Christ-like, to follow Him and to look to Christ for guidance in your life. A "normal" life is a relative term, though Christians are found in every city, in every profession, and in every skin tone on this earth. Believing in Christ's promises does not necessarily make you a monk or nun, and most Christians do continue their lives and live as functioning members of society. The only difference between a Christian and a sinner is one drop of blood, and that's the only thing missing.
Yes! It was merged with Christianity when Christianity was growing in popularity. This was done in order to get control over the growing population of the Christians. Now many Christian holidays of today are infact homage to the Pagan Gods.

No, he keeps everything going. The above is an opinion from a religious person who believes the Bible to be true.In my opinion, yes. God is a non-proven entity, with the Majority of the world believing in some-sort of "Higher Power". I'm infact a Muslim, and believe in Peace and Love and all of that, like most. But I do not believe that we're being 'magically' controlled by some being, I do however believe we're in control of our own life, destiny, etc.Tl;Dr - I believe that yes, we can.
